CIVIC PROJECTS

The Garden Club’s Civics Committee is dedicated to the beautification of the community through its many civic projects.  Most notably, the Club is responsible for the design and maintenance of numerous Town Gardens.  Each spring, just prior to the Memorial Day Parade, Club members get together for a fun day of planting annuals in the gardens it maintains around town.  Another eagerly anticipated event is the Club’s annual Holiday Workshop, which is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season while spreading cheer and giving back to the community.

Additionally, in collaboration with the town, the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department, and the “Making Wilton Beautiful” campaign, the Club plays a key role in fundraising efforts for the hanging flower baskets and holiday decorations that adorn the lamp posts in town.
