Wilton Garden Club

Membership

 

Women and men  are welcome to initiate membership in the Wilton Garden Club.  Our organization offers a great array of activities and excellent presentations at our General Meetings.

Membership follows a year of "provisional" status to allow the prospective member time to acclimate to the club's responsibilities and opportunities for education and service.

An Active, Sustaining or Honorary Member of the Garden Club may nominate, in any one year, a person for Provisional membership and second another. Members wishing to propose a candidate for membership are requested to review Article VI of the ByLaws. If the requirements are met, the sponsoring member should obtain an application form from the Membership Chair. 

Applications are accepted September through December 31st.

Provisional members are introduced to the Executive Board at a gathering held in the fall.   Eligibility for Active Membership is voted upon by the Executive Board in the spring, and candidates for Active Membership are voted upon by the General Membership at the Annual Meeting in June.
